26 March 2010 - Wellstorm announces WSP 2 with WSP Apps

Wellstorm Development announced the latest version of its flagship product, WITSML Service Platform 2. WSP 2 serves as an oil company's standards based, enterprise repository for drilling information. This version of WSP introduces a major new feature: WSP Apps, a drilling data processing system. WSP Apps offers an extensible environment companies can use to measure, monitor, and manage their drilling, geosteering, and well planning operations.

1 November 2008 - David Archer Joins Wellstorm as President

David Archer, former President/CEO of POSC, has joined Wellstorm as President.

David's career has centered on technical computing for the energy business where he has been at the vanguard of several innovative technologies including real time predictive analysis and the use of web-based technologies for information management and exchange. David is a native Texan with an undergraduate degree from TCU and MA and PHD degrees in Mathematical Sciences from Rice University. Dr.Archer is the recipient of the 2007 Management and Information Award from the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
